Alaskan Tails And Legs

Offer Image
Get up close and personal with the magnificent whales of Alaska, then dine on succulent king crab legs at one of Juneau's favorite establishments, Tracy's King Crab Shack.

Alaskan Tails and Legs

Calling all nature lovers! When you visit Juneau, you first think of the wildlife. Mother Nature has supplied this area in abundance both on land and in the sea.

Your journey will start with a scenic ride out to the harbor where you will board a boat and make your way to a prime whale watching area. This 40-passenger boat is mammal friendly thanks to water jet drives that are quiet and free of dangerous propellers that can frighten and hurt the animals. Relax in the enclosed, heated cabin with a warm cup of coffee or go up on deck and inhale the crisp, salty air as you draw near to the whales. Be sure to bring your camera to capture spectacular shots of these impressive mammals in their natural surroundings. Throughout the tour your captain and local naturalist will share fascinating facts and stories about the whales, marine life and the city of Juneau.

Once back on land you travel to Tracy's King Crab Shack, Juneau's most famous restaurant where the locals go. Tracy, a local, began her idea of crab legs in 2006 and has never looked back as she is passionate about her love for what she does. Feast like a king with warm, buttery rolls, crispy crab cakes, piping-hot crab bisque and the mouthwatering king crab legs adored by visitors and locals alike. While here, grab a signature souvenir or two in the gift shop before heading back to port.

Book this half-day tour now for a day in Juneau with whales and a tasty feast you will fondly remember for years to come.
